Ojokoro LCDA maps out strategies for attainable 2023 budget
Authorities of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area have organised a three-day retreat for top officials of the council to map out strategies on how its year 2023 budget will be attainable.
The three-day retreat, held on 8-10 December, 2022 at Fidimaye Hotels & Events Centre in Abule-Egba, a Lagos suburb, was attended by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (a.k.a H.I.D), his Vice, Hon. (Engr) Oladipupo Coker, members of the Executive Committee, Legislators and the Council’s management team.
In his welcome address at the opening ceremony of the retreat, the council boss stated that the year 2022 budget performance was successful to a large extent.
He further gave a breakdown of the year 2022 budget performance, as he charged the council’s revenue officers to improve on their efforts at increasing internally generated revenue next year, in order to surpass the achievements recorded in the year 2022 budget.
“Consequently, I humbly wish to urge all participants at this retreat to pay maximum attention and due commitment to the business that brought us together here so that our time and efforts will be worthwhile,” he encouraged.
Hon. Tijani disclosed that the year 2023 budget is aimed at ensuring continuous transformation and infrastructural renewal through quality service delivery in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.
He promised that his administration will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people through proper implementation of the year 2023 budget.
He therefore urged all residents of the LCDA to ensure payment of all rates and levies due to the council to the designated banks and avoid paying cash to any individual.
The Council Manager, Mr. Adebola Adeyemi, who made a detailed review of the performance of the year 2022 budget, also previewed the year 2023 budget with strategies on how to make it attainable.
