Ojokoro LCDA holds consultative forum to prepare 2024 budget proposal

Ojokoro Local Council  Development Area  (LCDA) recently organised a consultative forum to discuss and prepare the budget proposal for the year 2024.

The event, held at the Council’s multi-purpose hall on Monday, December 11, 2023, saw the participation of major stakeholders in the LCDA.

The forum was attended by politicians, office holders, artisans, and representatives from private and corporate organizations.

The Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani, delivered a welcome address highlighting the achievements of his second term.

He mentioned completed infrastructure projects under his leadership.

These projects include the rehabilitation of roads such as AkibuAdeniji road at Jankara, Bioyinstreet, phase two of Nureni Yusuf Drive, Lamina Ganiyu street, Wilson Aghedo road, Ijaoye street, Puposola street, Amusan street, and interlocking blocks at Felicia Coker street.

He also mentioned that the construction of Asukustreet with two-sided drainage is still ongoing. Additionally, blocks of classrooms and roofing were renovated at New Oko-Oba primary school.

Tijani discussed the advancements in healthcare services, including the provision of modern medical equipment and qualified staff at all Primary Health Care centers. He encouraged participants to contribute to the preparations for the 2024 budget.

The consultative forum in Ojokoro LCDA was attended by various important individuals, including government officials, community leaders, and business leaders.

The purpose of the forum was to gather input and suggestions from stakeholders for the development of the LCDA.

The successful completion of the event will now lead to the preparation of the 2024 budget proposal, which will aim to meet the needs and desires of the people in the LCDA.
