Ojokoro LCDA chairman warns against protest, urges dialogue
Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani has advised the community to shun protest and embrace meaningful developmental dialogue, citing the devastating experience of the #ENDSARS protest as a reason to avoid further destruction.
Tijani expressed concern about the structured protest and multiple protest points in Lagos State, stating, “It is evident that they are out to destroy again.”
He urged the community to preserve their inheritance and engage in dialogue and electoral processes to drive home their demands.
The chairman emphasized the need for Nigerians to sensitize and enlighten young people about the orchestrators and instigators of the ill-timed protest, which he believes aims to worsen the nation’s economic status and destroy the country.
He stated, “At this point, only an enemy of the nation will choose protest as the solution to the challenges facing the country because this is a global issue, not peculiar to Nigeria alone.”
Tijani reteirated by calling on all well-meaning Nigerians to rise up and protect the nation from those hiding under the guise of economic hardship.
