Ojokoro LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon. Hammed Idowu.D. Tijani presented the appropriation bill for 2024 to the Council legislative arm yesterday.
The budget is christened “Budget of Local Government Renewed Hope Integration,” and it is aimed at improving infrastructure and developmental needs within the communities and wards of the LCDA.
Hon.Tijani presented the proposed budget for Lagos State, which was based on needs assessment requests from stakeholders.
The budget focuses on social inclusion, gender equality, and youth development to improve living standards and promote transparency and accountability. The administration has made positive impacts in various sectors, including purchasing vehicles for executives and fueling security agency vehicles.
The Lagos State Government has completed various infrastructural projects, including road construction, drainage rehabilitation, and provision of solar street lights. The government has also focused on environmental and human health, carrying out waste disposal, disease control, and free health screenings.
Additionally, the government has renovated classrooms and provided educational facilities, adult literacy centers created at the Council premises and other existing ones to re-energise learning activities are still operational.
