The Group Managing Director/CEO of Solewant Group, Mr. Solomon Ewanehi has stated that oil companies require innovation, adaptability to survive in Africa’s challenging environment.

Ewanehi spoke at the award of Oil & Gas Contractor of the Year to Solewant Group by the Offshore Africa Magazine.

The Energy Contractor of the Year Award is granted only to businesses that meet high standards in quality leadership skills, contract implementation, project execution, and contributions to Africa economic development.

The award was conferred on Solewant Group on Thursday June 27, 2024, during Offshore Africa Magazine’s 3rd Anniversary Summit & Award Ceremony.

According to Offshore Africa Magazine’s CEO/ Editor-in-Chief Gilbert Da Costa, Solewant Group is “an outstanding contractor with a strong impact on the African economy. The analysis revealed a strong nexus between the organisation’s formidable deliverables and the growth manifested in the African energy sector.

Delivering a paper titled, ‘WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED AS INDIGENOUS OIL & GAS COMPANY IN AFRICA,’ Ewanehi advised oil and gas service industries in Africa not to see business success as a destination but see it as a journey.

He said the Africa business environment is both challenging and rewarding, that it requires a blend of innovation, strategic planning, community engagement, and adaptability in the provision of products and services to satisfy clients.

He expressed his happiness in receiving the award, that the good works of Solewant have not gone unnoticed.

The event was attended by top personalities, seasoned stakeholders, and decision-makers in the public, Energy and private spheres of the African economy.
