Ogun Works Commissioner harps on maintenance culture

Residents of Ogun State have been tasked to ensure proper maintenance and protection of public infrastructure, in order to complement government’s drive at improving the people’s standard of living.
Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya made the call while inspecting asphalt laying on the Elite- Oke-Lantoro road at Abeokuta.
He urged people to desist from burning and dumping refuse indiscriminately on the newly asphalted road, to allow free flow of water and avert flooding.
Speaking, the contractor handling the project, Engr. March Seeman who assured that his company would ensure quality job was delivered within the record time, stated that artisans and many other youths who were engaged in the construction work have been absorbed, appreciating the host community for their cooperation.
Speaking with journalists, two residents of the area, Mrs. Funke Adeogun and Mr. Segun Fadahunsi, lauded the State government for the road project, saying it would improve business activities in the area.
