Ogun workers, best hands you can get anywhere — Governor Abiodun

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described workers in the State Civil Service as one of the ‘best productive hands’ in the country that have shown genuine commitment towards the realisation of the ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda of his administration.
Governor Abiodun gave this commendation during the flag-off of ‘Know Your Health Status’ programme held in commemoration of the year 2021 Public Service Day, at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying they could deliver more when they are in the right state of health.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, the Governor congratulated the entire workforce for witnessing the celebration and emphasised the need for the workers to regularly check their health status in order to remain fit and productive for themselves and the State at large.
Abiodun noted that majority of the workers were dedicated to duty, affirming that government had been able to achieve much through their commitment to the implementation of impactful policies and programmes of the State government.
“Ogun State civil servants are the best one can get anywhere, and do not allow any unscrupulous individual sabotage the existing standard and integrity of the civil service. I want to advise you to do regular check-up to detect early, any ailment that may affect your work for the progress of the State,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Ottun, said the celebration was to appreciate and encourage the workers, commending Governor Abiodun for the prompt release of funds to execute the three-day events commemorating the Day.
Ottun called on workers to avail themselves of various medical tests available, to know their health status, urging those placed on drugs to take them in accordance with doctor’s prescription and that they should continue to support the present administration in achieving its agenda so as to continually benefit from the goodies it has in stock.
