Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

A socio-political group, Ogun West Collectives which consists of elites pushing for the socio-economic and political development of Ogun West senatorial district has called on the House of Representatives member-elect for Ado-Odo/Ota federal constituency, Hon Tunji Akinosi to use his tenure to facilitate meaningful development to the senatorial district.

The Coordinator of the group, Mr Femi Dokunmu made this call recently while speaking to our Correspondent after he and another member of the group, Mr Kayode Taiwo, former Caretaker Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council presented the group’s congratulatory message to Hon Akinosi over his recent victory at the polls.

Dokunmu, a former Chairman of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR) Ogun State described the federal lawmaker-elect who is also a member of the socio-political group, as a very forthright politician and an advocate of justice, equity and fairness saying that with his natural love for humanity, he was sure the immediate past Commissioner for Forestry in the state would give a good account of himself as a true representative of the people.

He said that the group has only come around to rejoice with Hon. Akinosi for the landslide victory recorded at the polls and to of course, urge him to remain a good ambassador of the socio-political group and the entire Ogun West by working with other like-minds to push for accelerated progress of the senatorial district.

Mr Kayode Taiwo, who has just retired from the service of Ogun State Television (OGTV) also described Hon Akinosi as a time-tested politician who has the capability to team up with other progressives to advance the socio-economic and political development of the senatorial district praying that the almighty God would make his tenure a memorable one.
