Sen Adeola Olamilekan Solomon currently representing Lagos West senatorial district but aspiring to represent the people of Ogun West come 2023, has disclosed that he remains the best foot his people would put forward to represent them at the Senate during next year general elections.

Sen Adeola fondly called Yayi and the incumbent Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance disclosed that as someone returning to the Senate for the third time, he stand shoulder high above any other contestant and would definitely leverage on such vantage position and experience so far acquired to make huge difference in the lives of his people.

The Lagos West Senator revealed that having served twice as member of Lagos State House of Assembly, once as a member of House Representatives and now in his second term as a Senator, he is no doubt with the gamut of lawmaking knowledge that he could deploy to advance socio-economic development of the Yewa/Awori land.

Sen Adeola, who stated this at a media parley held at his Ilaro country home revealed further that his decision to come back home and serve his people was largely due to the love his people have for him and the best way to reciprocate this kind gesture was to heed their call and come around to serve.

He added that though he had for better part of his life played his politics in Lagos but he had also for about 14 years been identifying with Ogun politics and even tried to contest in the past being an indigine from Pahayi Isaga, Ilaro in Yewa South local government area of the state.

He explained that he had however been faced with one hurdle or the other and would then return to Lagos but that this time around, he was done playing politics in Lagos and he is fully back in Ogun State where he would play his politics for the rest of his life.

Sen Adeola said that “yes, I have always played my politics in Lagos but the truth is that I have also in the last 15 years been identifying with Ogun State politics and even tried to contest but since these moves have not been that successful, I have always returned to the warm embrace of my people in Lagos.

“But that is changing now because I am now part and parcel of Ogun State politics. I am no longer playing my politics in Lagos, I am now a registered member of APC in Ogun, I am also now a registered voter in Ogun State.

“I have transferred my PVC to Ward 1, Ilaro, I have done that with INEC and pooling booth 009, Ilaro Ward 1 is where I will be voting, so I have taken that bold step to really seal the fact that I am fully back home to serve my good people of Ogun West.

Yayi, as the Chartered Accountant turned politician is widely known disclosed that it was out of the love his people have for him that made 57 traditional rulers and about 400 Baales, leaders of various communities in Ogun West recently came together and endorse him as the preferred choice for the 2023 senate race.

Speaking on the second term bid of Gov Dapo Abiodun, Sen Adeola stated that the people of the senatorial district would leave no stone unturned to support the governor and allow him continue his good works beyond 2023.

The Senator said that those writing petitions against Gov Abiodun over his second term ambition are only wasting their time because the governor through his sterling performance had convinced everyone that he deserves another term in office.

He said “for those writing petitions against Gov Dapo Abiodun, they are only wasting their time because the second term of the governor is unnegotiable. This is a governor that has taken the bull by the horns doing everything to advance the state, so those writing the petitions are bound to fail and they have truly fail and if anyone comes out against the governor too, such a person will fall”.
