Ogun traffic advisory on APC presidential campaign visit

The APC presidential campaign visit/rally is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 25th January, 2023, at MKO Abiola international Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

In a statement signed by the Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo, in view of the high volume of human and vehicular movement anticipated for an event of such magnitude, the general public, particularly the motoring public, are hereby notified that there wil be traffic diversion and rerouting inbound and outbound the stadium axis with alternative routes and parking space mapped out and to be supervised by operatives of TRACE and FRSC.

Furthermore, by 0900hrs, the NNPC flyover bridge will be condone off and traffic diverted underpass towards the MKO Abiola International Stadium for traffic rerouting to Abiola-Way.

In addition, all security and safety agencies will effectively manage and properly positioned to reduce and avoid gridlock on all routes to the venue as well as manage crowd control to avoid traffic delays and security threat.

Nevertheless, TRACE and FRSC operatives will be strategically detailed to man all the parking spaces within and around the stadium as well as street parking before and after the stadium premises.

While pleading with members of the public and road users for their understanding and cooperation for any inconveniences this might cause, Engr. Dairo assured that the strategy put in place would minimize delay and any untoward situation.
