Ogun State bags ‘Most Digitally Compliant State’ award
The Ogun State Government has bagged the award of the “Most Digitally Compliant State” at the Digital Nigeria Conference in Abuja.
The state represented by Special Adviser on ICT to the Ogun State Governor, Dayo Abiodun reiterated the sustenance of its Information Communication Technology (ICT) free training on digital skills to further empower the ciizenry and make them become employers of labour, as well as discouraging brain drain known as ‘Japa’ syndrome.
Abiodun dropped this hint while receiving an award bestowed on Ogun State Government by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA ) as the 2nd runner-up for the “Most Digitally Compliant State” at the 2023 Digital Nigeria Award Dinner held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.
Abiodun said the present administration was determined to upgrade the knowledge of individuals on cyber security, data analysis, web designing and many more, towards making them relevant in the emerging technology world.
The Governor encouraged interested members of the public to register for the ongoing 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) training program organized by NITDA via https:/3mtt.nitda.gov.ng/.
While attributing the award to the digital initiatives of Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unrelenting effort in the digitalisation drive, stated that the State government was sparing no cost at puting across various training programs to the residents especially the youth.
He said, “This recognition is a testament to the remarkable strides we have made in embracing digital transformation and ensuring compliance with the ever-evolving digital landscape under the guidance of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.”
The Special Adviser noted that the present government would continue to leverage on trending digital skills that would make people to be self-dependent and make them earn foreign salaries while in Nigeria.
