Ogun Public Service Week kicks off on Wednesday

Activities marking a three-day 2023 Public Service Day celebration in Ogun State begins on Wednesday, June 21, and will run through Friday, June 23.

A release signed by the State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun indicated that the celebration would kick off with a diagnostic programme tagged: “Know Your Health Status’’ on Wednesday at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 9.00 a.m. to be declared open by the Head of Service.

The release further stated that Day 2, which is Thursday, June 22 would feature football matches between the Civil Service and Parastatals in the male and female categories at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta by 2.00 p.m.

It added that the grand finale of the celebration has the Public Service Day Lecture, titled “Building Trust through Service Delivery: The Pivotal Role of the Public Service would be delivered by a former Oyo State Head of Service, Public Speaker and Human Resource Manager, Alhaji Tajudeen Aremu on Friday. The venue is Obas’ Complex, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta at 10.00 a.m.

The release enjoined all Public Servants to actively participate in all the events lined up for the celebration and be seated 30 minutes before the commencement of the programme, as attendance would be regarded as part of official duties.
