Ogun ministry honours former director, others

The Ogun State Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has honoured its former Director of Investment, Mrs. Yetunde Olatunbosun and other distinguished Officers  for their meritorious service to the growth of the Ministry.

Apart from Olatunbosun who is now the Director, Administration and Supplies, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, other Officers honoured include the Ministry’s former Deputy Director of Investment, Mr. Nurudeen Oduwaye who is now the Director, Administration and Supplies, Simeon Adebo Library, Kuto, Abeokuta as well as  a senior Administration Officer, Mr. Adeyemi Adegbite who is now posted to the Ogun State Government House and the Ministry’s Press Officer, Mr. Olawale Osunbiyi, who bagged an award of excellence.

Speaking during the send-forth and commendation programme held in honour of the Officers at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe commended the Officers for their commitment to duty as well as distinguished attributes calling on other Officers to emulate them.

She charged the Officers to continue to improve and also help others around them get better.

“Let us build on our strengths and work on our weaknesses. Be hungry for more improvement. You need to continue to mentor others and avoid time wasters. Continue to give your best. Do not disappoint,”the Commissioner said.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola described the Officers as teachable and humble noting that humble people accommodate new knowledge and achieve great heights.

He charged them to continue to improve on their performance calling on those posted to other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to see their posting as “another page of history which must be well written.”

The Ministry’s  former Director of Investment, Mrs. Yetunde Olatunbosun who spoke on behalf of other personalities appreciated the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary as well as the entire members  for the recognition and the enabling environment they have created for workers to continue to improve.
