Ogun House of Reps-elect, Akinosi holds competition to boost students interest in sciences

The House of Representatives member-elect for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Engr. Tunji Akinosi has launched S.T.E.M Quiz Competition for secondary school students in Ado-Odo/Ota federal constituency with a promise to give scholarships to the best students from next edition.

Akinosi equally gave Trophy rewards to the best three schools in the quiz.

Hon. Akinosi while admonishing the students through his representative, Mr. Akanni Dimeji Balogun reiterated his continued commitment to such educational programmes and promised to add scholarships for a better future.

The competition tagged OLATUNJI AKIOSI S.T.E.M Quiz Competition had eight public and private secondary schools in attendance.

The participating schools were Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive School, Ota, St. Michael High School, Ota, Iganmode College, Ota, Fountain Comprehensive School, Ota, Iju Ebiye High School, Iju, Ansar-ud-Deen High School, Lafenwa, L.G School, Ota, Welkin International and College, Atan

The Quiz Master, Engr. (Mrs) Edith Alagbe, applauded Engr. Tunji Akinosi, for promoting reading culture among the students especially in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English.

At the end of the competition, Welkin International College, Atan emerged winner of the competition with with 225 marks while Iju Ebiye High School scored 175 marks to pick 2nd position while Fountain Comprehensive Secondary School, Ota scored 156 marks to emerge 3rd.
