Ogun Govt. to build 100 housing units in Ifo

The Ogun government on Saturday announced plans to commence the construction of a 100 housing units in Ifo council area of the state.

The General Manager, Ogun Housing Corporation, Mr Wale Ojo, announced this in Ifo when he led board members of the corporation on a tour of the  proposed site of the project.

Ojo stated that the project was part of efforts of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration to provide affordable houses for residents of the state.

The general manager stated that the visit had become necessary to familiarise the board members of the corporation with the existing housing estates in Ifo as well as the proposed site for the construction of Prince Court estate in the area.

“This is an opportunity for the members to have a look at the site and the entire neighborhood.

“Meanwhile, it’s just one of the series of visits they will have to make,” he said.

He explained that the housing project would be a replica of the Prince Court estate in Idi-Aba area of Abeokuta.

” The first phase of the Prince Court Estate at Idi–Aba  in Abeokuta, comprising 130 housing units, have  been completed.

“The 150 units of the second phase still in Abeokuta is nearing completion while the 100 units at Ijebu–Ode is ongoing,” he said.

Ojo assured that various uncompleted housing projects in Ifo, which was developed through Private Public Partnership, would also be completed alongside the Prince Court project.
