Ogun State government has said that it would continue to enhance the productivity of its workforce by collaborating with the state chapter of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) in the provision of necessary facilities to develop its housing project at Ayerose community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Mr. Adetunji Kanimodo gave this assurance while playing host to the executive members of the Association led by its Chairman, Comrade Isa Olude.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the union Comr Isa Olude lauded the state government for the timely intervention and completion of the culverts, noting that the project was apt, as people of the area were yearning for a good road network that would ease their affairs.

Olude appreciated the engineers from the Ministry, saying “with what we have here, I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that civil servants are professionals to the core, even if we are to award this project out, we will not have it better than this.”

Also speaking, the site engineer, Wasiu Adelaja noted that the two meters wide culverts would link over 21 communities and improve the economic activities of the area.

In their separate remarks, a resident and a community youth leader, Messes Gbenga Oke and Fatai Olaleye, respectively said the culverts would be maintained to allow free flow of water and forestall flooding, particularly during the rainy season.
