Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi has said that the state government will evolve necessary strategies towards strengthening the existing ties with the 20 Local Governments (LGs), to foster more developmental initiatives that will aid the delivery of more democratic dividends to the people.

Mr Talabi disclosed this while receiving the LG Chairmen, who came on a congratulatory visit to his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, expressing optimism that the increasing demands of the citizenry could only be met through improved synergy between the various tiers of government.

The SSG said “It gladdens my heart to receive you into my office after my reappointment as the Secretary to the State Government. This shows that we have a relationship that we must continue to grow and nurture towards assisting the government in making life more abundant for our people”.

Talabi, who noted that occupying government office in any capacity required vast administrative knowledge towards achieving a result-driven society, assured them of the support of Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration and all stakeholders through its ISEYA mantra.

Speaking at the programme, the Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Ogun State Chapter, who doubles as Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Mr. Babatunde Emilola-Gazal, appreciated Governor Abiodun for the reappointment of the State’s scribe, describing it as strategic and well-deserved honour.

Emilola-Gazal said the Chairmen would leverage their unhindered access to the office for improved service delivery, as they remained a credible partner in the ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda of the present administration.
