Ogun govt lauds Hoffnneng Sports Foundation

The Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi has commended the Hoffnneng Sports Foundation for presenting Table Tennis Kits to a bronze medallist, Mr Ogunkunle Isau, saying the gesture will spur the table tennis player to greatness and boost his morale to win more laurels.

Ogunkunle, who hails from Ogun State has represented Nigeria at Local and International Table Tennis Competitions.

Mr. Talabi while playing host to the Foundation in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to witness the presentation of the Table Tennis kits to Mr. Ogunkunle, commended the foundation for its consistent support, saying the gesture would greatly encourage the medallist.

He said the government would continue to encourage and propel public-private partnerships toward promoting sports developments in the State.

In his contribution, the Founder of the Foundation, Mr. Dapo Akiode informed that the presentation was the first phase of the foundation’s support provided for the medal-winning table tennis player, noting that his foundation still has more kits to support the player.

Akiode added that the foundation would continue to give necessary support to sporting activities, as well as the government towards raising the bar of sports development in the State.
