Ogun Deputy Governor seeks support of Christian community in Ota for Abiodun’s second term

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has solicited the support of the Christian community in Ota comprising mostly of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) towards the re-election of Gov. Dapo Abiodun for a second term on Saturday

Engr. Salako-Oyedele who stated this while meeting with representatives of different denominations of the Christian body, at Christian Penticostal Mission International (CPM) Animashaun Ota, said the present administration in the state, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, has really supported Ota town and the entire Local government interms of infrastructural development.

She disclosed that the only way to allow him complete some of the ongoing projects and start new ones was to troop out enmass this Saturday and vote All Progressives Congress, APC in the gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.

“You are a strong factor in determining the success of this forthcoming election, such as you have in the past. You have a say, let me implore you to use it wisely. Let’s vote for continuity of good governance in the state. If we all vote for Prince Dapo Abiodun, it will assist in facilitating more developmental projects to Ado-Odo Ota local government” She said

While noting that there was need to carefully consider the character of people involved in election, he said Prince Dapo Abiodun and his team are professionally competent, full of integrity and the needed vision to lead the state for another four years

According to her, though no government can satisfy all the needs of the masses, but for the first time in the 16 years of democratic rule in Ogun, the present administration has done a project in every local government, hence the need to support us to be able to complete all ongoing projects and start new ones.

She also used the opportunity to call on non-indigenes in Ado-Odo Ota to also support APC in order to collectively reap the dividends of democracy.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State Chapter, Bishop Tunde Akin Akinsanya, represented by the State Secretary, Rev. Dr. Steven Adeyemi, appreciated those in attendance, saying the meeting was called for them to support Governor Dapo Abiodun in the forthcoming elections and to allow for continuity of good works in the state.

While calling on members of the Christian faith not to hesitate to cast their votes for APC, he assured the Deputy Governor that Christians in Ota are solidly behind the present administration, explaining that this government has really supported the Christian community in all aspects.
