Ogun commissions N80m Mapoly TETFUND projects

Ogun State Government has commissioned N80m worth of Information Communication Technology (ICT) TETFUND projects, which include 280 sets of computer systems, generator, among others to boost technological education in the State.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, while commissioning the projects at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, reiterated government’s effort towards integrating technology into teaching and learning activities, pointing out that the provision of the equipment was apt at the time when virtual learning is the order of the day.

The Commissioner revealed that primary and secondary schools in the State would also be provided with adequate ICT equipment, as well as resource centre in each Local Government Area, to enable learners prepare adequately for the future.

In his remarks, the Acting Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji reaffirmed that the project would not only help the students of the institution, but would be an advantage to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations and other academic purposes.

The Commissioner applauded government strides towards ensuring that education take its priority and promised that the institution would continue to produce worthy ambassadors for the State.
