Ogun APC, Mobilisation DG laud Supreme Court verdict on Abiodun’s election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state and the Director General, Mobilisation for Governor Dapo Abiodun 2023, Otunba Tunde Debasco has applauded the judgment of the Supreme Court affirming the election of the governor.

A statement issued in Abuja by the Publicity Secretary of APC in Ogun State, Tunde Oladunjoye,  quoted the party Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi congratulating  Governor Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele “on the landmark judgment by the apex court.”

The statement reads in part, “We salute the incorruptible and courageous justices of the Supreme Court for upholding the concurrent verdicts of the lower courts. They have shown that truly justice lies with the judiciary.”

“We also want to congratulate our gentleman and hardworking Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele on this sweet landmark judgment. It has been long in coming but well-deserved.

“Now that the matter has been finally laid to rest, we urge our amiable Governor and his team to increase the tempo of their transformational governance in our dear Ogun State.

“And we again, for the umpteenth time, urge the losers to purge themselves of their illusions (if they ever will) and join hands with His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun (CON) to take our dear state to greater heights. They should stop the politics of bitterness and offer constructive criticisms and ideas on how to make our state a better place for all.

“We also wish to congratulate the good people of Ogun State for their steadfastness and support for the APC-led administration in spite of the needless distractions and antics of the opposition.”

In the same vein, APC Chieftain, Otunba Babatunde Onakoya, popularly known as Tunde Debasco, has described the electoral victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun in the 2023 Governorship Election affirmed by the Supreme Court is the Will of God as nothing can be done without the God Almighty.

Otunba Tunde Debasco, who was reacting to the Supreme Court’s judgment which affirmed Governor Dapo Abiodun’s electoral victory in Ogun State on Sunday, noted that the judgment would be a needed relief for Governor Abiodun as it would offer him political and legal impetus to turn things around for the betterment of the State and the people as a whole.

While asking the opposition candidates, parties and the entire people of the State to join hands with Governor Dapo Abiodun in order to engender the needed socio-economic growth and development in the State, Otunba Debasco stated that Governor Abiodun had brought the State’s internally-generated revenue (IGR) back to number two in the comity of States in the  Country.

He said, “You can see that apart from what Governor Dapo Abiodun is doing about the Gateway Agro-Cargo and Passenger Airport at Iperu, our roads, economy, health, education, agriculture, among other areas, Mr Governor is also ensuring that our internally-generated revenue (IGR) is number two in the Country.

“All these achievements, coupled with the Will of God are enough to bring him back as our Governor in Ogun State and of course, God has brought him back through the Supreme Court. So, the Electoral Victory is Supreme!

“No doubt, Mr Governor is a man of the people. His hardwork and good intention to rebuild Ogun State for the betterment of all and sundry are testimonies to the judgement of the Supreme Court. His election was not just affirmed by the Courts of Competent and Surpreme Jurisdictions, it’s indeed, the Will of God.

“With God and people on his side, he shall be successful in and out of Government. I can only appeal to opposition governorship candidates, the opposition political parties and the good people of Ogun State to join hands with Mr Governor to take Ogun State to the promised land.”

Meanwhile, Otunba Debasco has admonished Governor Dapo Abiodun to critically assess his Cabinet and sniff out political moles as well as double dealers in his Cabinet, saying such characters are not meant to be in his Cabinet as they can be clogs in the wheel of progress for the Governor and the State at large.
