Ogun APC chieftain, Ayoola congratulates Abiodun, Hembe for clinching governorship ticket
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ward 1, Odogbolu local government, Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has congratulated Gov Dapo Abiodun for clinching the party’s governorship ticket for another term in office.
Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has equally rejoiced with Hon Herman Hembe representing Konshisha/Vandeikya federal constituency for winning the ruling party’s governorship primaries in Benue State.
In a statement made available to journalists at Abeokuta on Thursday shortly after Gov Abiodun defeated five other aspirants to emerged winner of the party’s governorship primary held at MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ayoola said he was excited that the delegates actually compensated the governor’s hardwork and conscientious leadership with such massive votes.
He said “I must really appreciate our delegates for paying back our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun with such massive votes giving him a landslide victory in the primary. It is an endorsement of good performance of the governor since he assumed office three years ago.
“I am really excited because the implication of this historic victory is that the good works we are witnessing and enjoying in the state will continue beyond 2023. I congratulate the governor on this well deserved victory and by extension this is a victory over every other parties that may want to contest with him during 2023 elections”.
Ayoola said “I am also grateful to Benue State delegates for pitching their tents with Hon Herman Hembe who has continue to use his brand of politics to pursue selfless leadership and give endorsement to good government. I congratulate Hon Herman Hembe over these sweet victory and I want to say that it is a beginning of many greater things to come to the state prided as the food basket of the nation”.
