Ogun: Abiodun approves N50m loan for NATA

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved a N50 million revolving loan for members of the Nigeria Automobile Technician and Association (NATA) in the state.

The Governor announced the loan approval during an interactive session with members of the Association in Abeokuta, on Wednesday.

“Your Chairman told me that you want me to make an arrangement for you that will allow you to borrow money to trade, I  have told your Chairman that the issue of the loan is a done deal.

“By the grace of God, you can see that I was looking at my phone because I had made an arrangement for that loan and I am just waiting to see the alert so I can know if your Chairman has received the alert.

“Your Chairman has sent your association’s account details to me and I have arranged the loan for you. If the amount does not enter before I leave, it will enter before I get to my next stop.

“The money is small, let us start with it first, when you borrow yourselves and return it, I will put an additional amount on it.

“What I have given you today is just N50 million naira,”Abiodun said.

The Governor, while acknowledging the contributions of members of the association to the economic development of the society, disclosed that no economy can survive without mechanics.

He thanked  them for supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress with their votes during the last presidential and national assembly elections, urging them to go all out to educate their family members on the need to vote him for the continued prosperity of the state.

The Governor who also assured members of the association that his administration would power their village with solar enabled lights, also noted that a bus will be provided for them as well as ensuring that the failed part of their perimeter fencing is reconstructed.

In his remarks, a former Governor of the state and National Leader of the APC, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, while urging members of the association to stand with Governor Dapo Abiodun, noted that with him in the saddle, their trade is assured of further development.

Osoba who further charged them to ensure they ignore calls from enemies of the state who are hell bent on taken power for their selfish agenda, urged them to ensure they vote for the continued development of Ogun State.

In his remarks, the state Chairman of NATA, Alhaji Adeleke Balogun, while thanking the Governor for providing an enabling environment for them to thrive in the state, disclosed that they were glad with the continued development of the state under his leadership.
