
OGITECH rector lauds elevation of Ilaro Poly to university
The Rector, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Dr Abiodun Oluseye, on Friday said conversion of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, to a university would enhance academic excellence, foster innovation and contribute to the growth of Ogun.
Oluseye made the assertion in a letter of congratulation he addressed to the management of the polytechnic on the elevation of the institution’s status by the Federal Government.
A copy of the letter was made available to News Men in Lagos.
Oluseye also felicitated Ilaro community and the entire Ogun people for the elevation of the polytechnic into a university of technology.
The rector described the feat as a milestone and a testament to the tireless efforts of the polytechnic’s management at advancing learning.
“Establishment of a university of technology will undoubtedly enhance academic excellence, foster innovation and contribute to growth and development,” he said.
Oluseye thanked President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Solomon Olamilekan (a.k.a. Yayi), who represents Ogun West, and Oba Kehinde Gbadewole-Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro, for their contributions toward the feat.
