OGIRS urges timely financial reconciliation with Microfinance Banks

The Executive Chairman of Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), Mr. Olaleye, has emphasised the importance of prompt reconciliation of all financial transactions into the state government’s coffers.

He made this known during a meeting with the managements of Trust, Lavender, Astra Polaris, Emeralds, and Ikenne Microfinance Banks in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Olaleye urged bankers to maintain professionalism, ethical standards, and integrity in their duties, as prompt reconciliation would aid revenue growth and ensure accountability. “Prompt reconciliation is crucial for revenue growth and accountability. I urge you all to maintain professionalism, ethical standards, and integrity in your duties,” he said.

Director, Other Taxes, OGIRS, Mrs. Oluyomi Dawodu, advised Micro Finance Banks to give necessary attention to transaction activities, assuring that the agency would continue to strengthen its relationship with them. “We will continue to work together to ensure that all financial transactions are reconciled promptly,” she said.

The Managing Directors of the present Microfinance Banks – Trust, Lavender, and Ikenne MFB – lauded OGIRS for continuous partnership, promising to address challenges on the ground.

“We appreciate the partnership and will work together to address any challenges,” they said.
