Ododo committed to dialogue with citizens — Commissioner

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo is committed to dialogue with citizens of the state, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has stated.

The Commissioner spoke while on inspection of the Kogi Government House Media Center, the maiden centre which includes the Lugard TV, Media Trackers, etc established by the Ododo led administration.

Speaking at the site, Hon. Fanwo highlighted that the Lugard TV, Media Tracker and others were Ododo Ahmed Usman standard in terms of quality, excellence and assembling the right hands to do accurate job, affirming that the structure established for the media centre was the standard required.

Speaking further, the Hon. Commissioner emphasised that having the Lugard TV and Media Trackers were great developments as the whole world would love to hear the historic story of Late Lord Lugard, an outstanding Colonial Governor General of Nigeria.

He pointed out that Kogi Government Media Center is always on ground to propagate, disseminate and sensitise the citizenry, even to the Grassroots, about government’s policies and programmes under the friendly Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, reiterating His Excellency’s unwavering commitment towards revolutionary development across all sectors in the state.

The Commissioner disclosed that the present administration has a communication policy of talking to the people rather than talking at them, adding that the government was open to the people to get their views as feedback when information is disseminated to them.

Hon. Fanwo commended the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Hon. Ismail for overseeing the Kogi Government House Media Center, adding that the giant developmental strides recorded are proof of his diligence and dexterity.

The Information Commissioner assured the people that the newly established Kogi Government House Media Center would complement other print and electronic media houses in disseminating government policies, programmes and achievements in the state and beyond.
