As the Honourable Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh continue with his tour across nooks and crannies of Gboko local government area, the headquarters of the Tiv nation, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Benue State branch Comrade Levi Terna Akume has commended the purposeful leadership of the Governor of Benue State Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and the Speaker of the 10th Benue State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh.
Comrade Akume gave the commendation at Tse – Abashi, Ipav in Gboko local government area of the state when he gathered all the NUT leaderships of 14 Tiv speaking local government areas in the Stateand his entire community to welcome the Honourable Speaker in their area.
He expressed satisfaction with the government of Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, describing it as people oriented government and asked the Speaker to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Governor for the timely payment of workers salaries, pensions and gratuities from 22nd of every month.
The State NUT 01, pledged the Union total loyalty and unwavering support to the Fr. Alia’s led government to succeed on his vision and mission to destroyed the shackles of under development and restored the lost glory of development in all sectors of the State economy.
Nigerian NewsDirect reports that yesterday was the last day of the Speakers tour in the week and he also visited Hon. Joe Hilenyi in Gboko East and led him to interface with all the traditional rulers in Gboko East at the Traditional Council chambers.
The Speaker who is also the vice Chairman North Central, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria and The “Atonko u Mbatiav ” proceeded to Ahmadu Bello way to greet Elder Joseph Ahemba and his followers.
“I’m proud and grateful to Elder Ahemba and his followers for supporting Gov Alia.
“In Gboko Central, I had a fruitful meeting with Hon. Mrs. Zanaria Gill, former SSA to Samuel Ortom. She wholeheartedly accepted to join me in the APC and to support Gov Alia.
“Subsequently, I paid a visit to Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Moji at Hausa Quarters, Gboko. I am grateful to Mrs Moji and the large group of Hausa women who have chosen to align themselves with Gov Alia and I for the development of our dear state,” the Speaker stated.
