The operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested five suspects and confiscated their truck loaded with scrap metals and vandalised items

It was gathered that the Command’s eagle-eyed intelligence personnel and the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department’s tactics made the arrest of the miscreants possible based on credible intelligence.

In a statement released by NSCDC on Wednesday, the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu assured that the command is committed to safeguarding the territory and preserving all critical infrastructure, which he described as the Nation’s common heritage.

“The NSCDC FCT Command remains resolute in its mission to rid the FCT of these criminal elements, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for all residents.”

Odumosu said the fight against vandalism and sabotage will continue relentlessly until these criminal elements are completely eliminated from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He vowed to make the FCT a zero-tolerance zone for vandals, scavengers (Babanbola), and other malicious actors. He said FCT will be off-limits to criminals who exploit darkness to destroy public property and target unsuspecting commuters and residents.
