NSCDC arrest six persons for alleged theft, vandalism

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has said that it has arrested six persons for alleged theft and vandalism.

The State Corps Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, made the disclosure in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Kano.

He listed the six suspects to include; Abdulrahim Umar, 19, Tasi’u Salisu, 17, Mubarak Idris, 19, Abba Umar, 25, Suleiman Abdulhamid, 17 and Ibrahim Ibrahim, 17, adding that they were arrested at different locations in the state.

Idris-Abdullahi said the first suspect, Umar, was arrested by the NSCDC personnel attached to Tarauni Divisional Office, Kano for allegedly stealing a tricycle along Zoo road.

“Salisu was arrested for stealing a motorcycle, while Idris was arrested for vandalising and stealing of electricity armoured cables in Nassarawa local government area of Kano.

“Umar, Abdulhamid and Ibrahim were arrested for allegedly terrorising residents of Sheka ‘Yar-Kasuwa, with phone snatching and house burgling in the area,” the image maker said.

He, however, said that the suspects would be charged to court, upon completion of investigation.
