Ma`ajin Mohammed, the Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna has expressed satisfaction with the barren draw against visiting Nasarawa United of Lafia in Minna on Sunday
The Newsmen reports that the match was a match day two fixture in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)
“I am impressed with the game because this is the same team that went to Ilorin in the opening match of the season to beat Kwara United FC 2-1,“he said.
Mohammed blamed the inability of his side to defeat the visiting team to pressure from the huge home crowd who turned out to cheer the team after nine years of not watching them play at home.
“The boys were under pressure from the crowd to deliver. We have not witnessed this kind of crowd coming to cheer us for a while.
“Whatever support we have been getting in Kaduna, our temporary home was different from what we saw during the game today,” he said.
Also speaking, Kabiru Dogo, Technical Adviser, Nasarawa United expressed satisfaction with the officiating and rated the two sides high.
“The match today was a very good game for both Nasarawa United and Niger Tornadoes because both clubs put up good performance,” he said.
Dogo decried the lone goal scored by his side toward the end of the second half of the game which the referee disallowed.
“Anyway, in a game like this, the referee has the final say,” he said.
