No crisis in Osun APC, Omisore secretaryship is proof — Party Chairman

By Joel Oladele, Abuja

The Chairman of the  ruling All Progressives Congress in the Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun has said the party is one united family without any crises.

Speaking with our correspondent at the  venue of the national convention of APC, Eagle Square, Abuja shortly after the announcement of Senator Iyiola Omisore as the substantive national secretary of the party, Famodun said the Osun State chapter of the APC is waxing strong and the atmosphere at the convention ground is a proof to that fact.

“What you see here is a testimony that Osun state APC, we are one United family, you can see everybody throwing banters, exchanging pleasantries, jokes and all that, we are here as a family to come and participate in the national convention, we have the statutory and elected delegates here.

“We are the ruling party in Osun and we have every aspect of representation required by the constitution of the party for national convention, there are more than 250 delegates.

“We have gone through all aspects of party election, ward, local and state congresses and we just did our primaries to produce a candidate ahead of July 16th election and so far, the level of support has been  overwhelming, so there is nothing like crises in Osun State APC, we are moving on,” Famodun affirmed.

Congratulating the newly elected national secretary of All Progressives Congress, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Famodun said, “Iyiola’s victory is a victory for Osun state APC, entire Osun State regardless of the political affiliation and indeed a good thing for APC as a party.”

During the just concluded APC convention, 77 national officers emerged as the National Working Committee, with Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the party.
