A press statement released by the Media Officer, Tajudeen Amodu reads in part, “We dedicate this victory to His Excellency Governor Gboyega Oyetola who has been sponsoring the team despite the dwindling revenue of the state. He has been a father to us by attending to our needs as and when due.

“We similarly thank the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Yemi Lawal and the Special Adviser, Aremo Adegboyega Adelabu for striving hard to oil the wheel of the team, thus making the journey easy.

“Our hope and aspiration are to pick one of the play-off tickets of the group to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and we believe it is possible. With all hands on the desk, we shall achieve our aims and justify the state government’s investment in the team.”
