NNG launches State Chapters, presents Ohabunwa as 2023 presidential candidate

A new political movement, New Nigeria Group (NNG) has officially launched its state chapters in the 36 States of the country, with a mission to promote industrialisation, eradicate unemployment, and forge a new and united Nigeria welcoming and just to all.

The group also presented Former Chairman, Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa as it’s presidential candidate in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the Mega Launch and National Stakeholders Meeting of the group held yesterday in Lagos, the Convener, NNG, said the aim of the group is to mobilise likeminded citizens to install enlightenment, visionary and committed leadership in Nigeria.

He said the group would foster a country that will optimize it’s human and material resources to attain global competitiveness in a nation where justice, equity and fair play reign supreme.

Speaking on the country’s security challenges, Ohabunwa said that for Nigeria to overcome it’s current insecurity challenges and economic dwilling, the people must embrace compentent hands as current crops of leaders have run out of ideas to end poverty in the country.

“NNG Nigeria has risen to counter all the negative trends that has bedeviled the country since it’s political class lack mental capacity to stir the economic wheel of the nation in the right direction considering the huge natural resources it’s endowed with.

“Our message is the same, we should come out and lead in redemption and restoration of the cou try from a third world country to first world. We want to change the economic indices.

“Our aim is to create a country of justice, and free people, where people live in liberty and not a country where people live in fear. The office of the citizen must reign supreme.”

The highlight of the event was the inductment of executives of the movement from different states, and local government areas of the country, towards actualizing the vision of the group which is to move Nigerians aways from chronic poverty, employment and lacuna in leadership.
