NITDA seeks public feedback on IT project, regulatory guidelines

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has invited the general public input on draft guidelines for IT projects and regulatory frameworks, aiming to enhance Nigeria’s digital infrastructure.

Recall that the Open for review are the Guidelines for Licensing IT Projects Clearance Compliance Assurance Firms 2024, Regulatory Guidelines for Electronic Invoicing in Nigeria, Guidelines for Software Development and Guidelines for Software Testing.

NITDA is also proposing updates to the 2018 Guidelines for Clearance of IT Projects for federal institutions.

According to Mrs. Hadiza Umar, NITDA Director of Communications and Media Relations, public participation is crucial for developing effective and inclusive regulatory instruments that support Nigeria’s digital economy.

She stressed that The public has been requested by the commission to review the drafts at nitda.gov.ng and submit feedback to regulations@nitda.gov.ng by November 26, 2024.

This initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s digital infrastructure goals and the “Renewed Hope” agenda, reflecting NITDA’s commitment to collaborative rulemaking.
