Nigerians in Niger, Abia, Enugu paid more to buy diesel in July – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics says Nigerians in Niger, Abia and Enugu states paid more to buy Automotive Gas Oil, known as diesel, in July 2023.

Conversely, Bayelsa State (N683.20), Anambra/Bauchi State (N700.00) and Ondo State (N701.58) are the states with the lowest prices of diesel.

NBS disclosed this in its recent July Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) Watch.

The report showed that the average diesel price increased by 2.60 per cent yearly to N794.68 per litre in July 2023 compared to N774.38 last month.

However, the figure represented a decrease of -2.62% recorded from N815.83 in June.

“The top three States with the highest average price of the product in July 2023 include Niger State (N892.50), Abia State (N890.63) and Enugu State (N872.73).

“Furthermore, the top three lowest prices were recorded in the following States, namely, Bayelsa State (N683.20), Anambra/Bauchi State (N700.00) and Ondo State (N701.58)”, the report stated.
