Nigerian Businessman escapes death

A Nigerian business man escaped death when some thugs, suspected to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), stormed his office, Antofem Worldwide Enterprises located in Lagos.

Kehinde Olajide Anthony,  the Chief Executive Officer of Antofem Worldwide Enterprises and an IT expert, was able to escape, but his secretary, Folasade Gbadamosi, was not so lucky as she suffered serious injuries during the attack.

According to investigations conducted by our reporters, Kehinde Olajide’s ordeal began when he made a proposal to install Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology devices in commercial buses, tricycles and taxis in order to curb the high incidences of kidnapping and ritual killings in Osun state. Once the proposal was approved by the state, he started receiving threat calls from certain individuals who also had interest in the same project and some stakeholders in the transport industry not to commence the project.

As if the death threats were not enough, Olajide’s major investor and cousin, Ms. Damilare David Agbekemi, was kidnapped on 2nd June, 2024 in Lagos. Her dead body was found several days later. Agbekemi’s untimely demise struck a hard blow to the execution of the project.

Further investigation revealed that all efforts to continue the project despite the loss of the major investor, were further frustrated by members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), while incessant attacks on the Antofem Worldwide and Olajide himself had forced the man to go on the run. According to his friends and associates, Olajide had instructed his Chinese suppliers to put the project on hold, while his whereabouts, for fear of death, remain unknown and unconfirmed to even his closest friends and associates.

All efforts to get in touch with Olajide have been abortive as calls put to his phone line have failed to go through.
