Nigerian Army to conduct firearms exercise in Abak LGA

The 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army has scheduled its First Quarter Range Classification Exercise for 2025 at the 6 Battalion Range in Abak, Akwa Ibom.

Lt. Adebowale Adejimi, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, announced this in a statement issued on Monday in Uyo.

The exercise, which involves 2 Brigade Garrison and other sub-units, will take place from 19th to 28th March.

Residents of Abak Local Government Area have been advised to avoid the designated training area and not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire.

Adejimi assured the public that comprehensive safety and security measures have been implemented for the duration of the exercise.
