Nigeria to host African Energy Bank headquarters

Nigeria has been designated as the host country for the headquarters of the African Energy Bank (AEB), a pivotal institution aimed at spearheading energy financing and development initiatives across Africa. The decision highlights Nigeria’s prominent role and steadfast commitment to advancing the energy sector on the continent.
The Minister for Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, made the announcement today via his official handle on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed profound pride in Nigeria’s selection, citing it as a testament to the nation’s leadership and dedication within the energy domain.
The AEB is poised to serve as a linchpin for funding and catalysing innovative and sustainable energy projects, thereby fostering economic growth throughout Africa.
