The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has said that it will partner the International Office of Migration, IOM, to foster synergy between both organisations.

Office of the Acting Comptroller General of the NIS, Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju said this during the hosting of a delegation from the IOM that paid a courtesy visit to the NIS at the Sauka, NIS headquarters in Abuja.

The IOM led by Mr. Laurent DeBoeck, Chief of Mission, engaged in a productive working visit which the NIS said further deepened the engagement between NIS and IOM.

During the meeting, a wide range of crucial topics were addressed, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in areas such as capacity building, and fostering stronger synergy between NIS and IOM. Both the NIS and IOM expressed their commitment to nurturing a partnership that would lead to ‘concrete actions’.
