Nigeria Decides: BVAS performed ultimately – INEC Chairman

The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu disclosed that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, performed optimally nationwide during the on presidential election.

Yakubu stated this while giving an update on Saturday at the National Collation Centre briefing in Abuja.

He explained that according to reports reaching the Commission all went on well relatively with its technologies.

“There was ballot boxes snatching here and there, but it appears that the target of those who wants to undermine the election is the BVAS. We would continue do everything to protect the process and proceed courageously”.
