NIEEE to hold 15th Distinguished Electrical Electronics Engineer Annual lecture

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), has annouced its 15th Distinguished Electrical and Electronics Engineer Annual lecture (DEEEAL) which is to be held in Abuja today.

The lecture is titled:  “Electrification of Nigeria is  a Sine Qua Non To Building A Great, Industrialised And Safe Nation,” scheduled is 11am.

The Executive Secretary of NIEEE, Engr. Simeon Isibor in a statement said the annual lecture would be done by Engr. Ifeoluwa Oyedele.

His confirmation was through his office following the successful hosting of the International Conference and Exhibition on Power and Telecommunications (ICEPT) 2021.

“The DEEEAL confers the distinct honour on the recipient of presenting a well researched, topical and nationalistic lecture before an audience comprising of the top echelon of Engineers, Managers, Captains of Industries and Executives from various sectors of the economy, including the government.

“The DEEEAL is considered as the pinnacle of achievement by an Electrical Electronic Engineer and Oyedele would be joining a select group of past lecturers having exceeded all criteria used in the selection process.

“The lecture, which is scheduled to hold on Nov. 8 in Abuja, is expected to be preceeded by the conferment of the Institute’s Fellowship on Oyedele,” he said.

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) is an established in 1984 as a group of COREN registered Electrical Engineers.

NIEEE houses  has all the specialties of Electrical Engineering disciplines and currently has 28 Chapters in cities across all the geo-political zones of the country.

In order to deliver its mandates effectively, NIEEE is constitutionally structured into three subdivisions of Electrical Engineering – Power Engineering, Telecoms & Computer Engineering, and Instrumentation, Control and Automation sections.
