NGX reports gain of N6.99bn on equities market

The equities market on Nigerian exchange limited closed flat on a positive note amidst sell-offs and buy interests as the benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 12.99 basis points.

The Nigerian exchange limited ASI closed the trading activities yesterday February 22nd, 2022 closed at 47,246.9 to 47,233.91 in the previous trading day to reflect a growth of 0.03% from the previous trading day.

According to the data released by NGX yesterday, the market capitalisation is appreciated by N6.99 billion.

At the close of trading activities the stock exchange market presently stood at N25.463 trillion from N25.456 trillion in the previous trading day.

In 5992 deals, investors exchange 421,820,943 shares valued at N5.155 billion.

NGX Top gainers

NIGERINS leads the gainers chart yesterday with 10.00% or N0.02 increase to close at N0.22 per share, LEARNAFRICA added yesterday with 10.00% or N0.22 increase to close at N2.42 per share, while SCOA follows with 9.79% or No.23 increase to close at N2.58 per share, CUTIX gained 9.65% or N0.25 increase to closed at N2.84 per share and MAYBAKER gained 9.65% or No.44 increase to close at N5.00.

NGX Top losers

On the losers chart, ELLAHLAKES depreciated by 9.88 per cent or No.42 to close at N3.83 per share VERITASKAP dropped by 8.00 per cent or N0.02 to close at N0.23 per share, COURTVILLE business solution dipped by 5.56 per cent or N0.03 to closed at N0.51N per share, GUINESS dropped by 5.34 per cent or N3.95 to close at N70.05 per share and NEIMETH down at 4.76 per cent or No.o9 to close at N1.80 per share.
