NGX-ASI declines by 0.13%, as investors lose N73bn

The NGX All-Share Index declined by 0.13 percent to close at 97,343.42 basis points on Wednesday.

This is as investors also lost N73.85bn making the stock market to close negatively, losing 130.56 basis points with a negative market breadth.

The NGX-ASI decline follows the previous day’s loss of 0.24 percent to close at 97,473.98 basis points leaving the NGXASI now at 30.18 percent.

Meanwhile, the total volume traded advanced by 15.97 percent to close at N355.55m, valued at N7.14bn and traded in 7,333 deals. GTCO was the most traded stock by volume and value with N71.87m and N3.04bn units traded.

The Gote Index declined by 0.45 percent to close at 343.50 basis points, The Toni index fell by 0.31 percent to close at 1,274.36 basis points, while the Samad index closed flat at 364.34 basis points.

For volume contribution, GTCO had the highest volume, contributing 20.21 percent, while ACCESSCORP and TANTALIZER followed closely.

At the close of trading, the market recorded 12 gainers, 30 losers, and 78 unchanged. CUSTODIAN topped the gainers’ list, while FTNCOCOA topped the losers’ list.
