New Ebonyi APC chairman pledges reconciliation of aggrieved members
The newly inaugurated Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha has pledged to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party in the state.
Okoro-Emegha made the disclosure on Friday in Abakaliki while addressing party faithful on his return to the state after being inaugurated alongside other state chairmen in Abuja, on Thursday.
The chairman said that the new state party executives had begun meeting of aggrieved members to unite in making the party stronger.
“APC is a large family and Ebonyi currently ranks among the states where the party is sure to win elections.
“The governor has set a standard which will make his successor surely to come from the party, sustain all his endearing legacies,” he said.
“It is clear that we did not record rancourous ward, local government and state congresses and the national congress committee to the state placed Ebonyi as a model to other states,” he said.
Okoro-Emegha assured party faithful that he would not fail in his mandate but worked in harmony with his executive to move the party forward.
“I am also assuring you that the governor will emerge as the APC presidential flagbearer because the party reposes much confidence in him.
“This made the party to appoint him as the chairman of the campaign for the Federal Capital Territory municipal election,” he said.
Chief Chaka Nweze, a Chieftain and the Pioneer Secretary of the party in the state, congratulated Okoro-Emegha and urged him to unite party faithful in the state.
“The party should consolidate on its congress successes and the giant strides of the present administration in the state.
“The party leaders among other stakeholders are ready to collaborate with its leadership at the state and other levels to achieve desired electoral objectives,” he said.
The APC National Caretaker Committee led by Gov Mai Buni of Yobe State inaugurated new State chairmen of the party in Abuja.
