The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has been advised on who to sack upon his assumption of office on May 29.
Deji Adeyanju, a public affairs analyst, urged Tinubu to sack a board chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Lauretta Onochie.
Tweeting, he lamented President Muhammadu Buhari’s attempt to appoint Onochie as a Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He wrote: “The first person I want Tinubu to sack is Lauretta Onochie. How can such a sycophant be Board Chair of NDDC? He wanted to even appoint her as an INEC Commissioner, gosh! Nigeria really fell off under Buhari.”
Despite criticisms that trailed her nomination in December 2022, the Senate had confirmed Onochie as the substantive Chairman of NDDC.
Prior to her appointment, she was Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media.
Buhari had requested the Senate to confirm Onochie as the substantive NDDC Chairman, a development that drew applause and condemnation in some quarters.
