NASD OTC Securities Exchange rises by 1.16%

NASD OTC Securities Exchange Index closed last week with a positive return on NSI. The NSI return increased by 1.16per cent to close last week at 754.81.12 basis points against 746.12 basis points in prior’s week performance.
NASD OTC Securities Exchange market closed on a positive note YTD as the market recorded an increase in performance.
NASD Security Index Year to date returns increased by 1.77per cent. Total volume traded Year-to-Date stands at 410,023,932 units in 2498 deals and total Value traded is N8,893,469,434.
In addition, week 25 saw NASD Investors gain N6.17 billion in value. NASD OTC Market capitalization closed at N536.52 billion compared to N530.35 billion on last Friday, resulting from a positive movement in prices.
There was a 14.87per cent increase in the total value traded during the week, as week 25 saw NASD Investors trade a total of N276,194,759 in value compared to N240,436,336 in the previous week. Total trade activity for the year is valued at N8,893,469,434.
Total volume traded during the week was 14,643,633 units compared to 11,836,028 units in the previous week leading to a 23.72 per cent increase in trade volume compared to week 24. Total volume traded for the year is 410,023,932 units.
The week closed with Nigerian Exchange Group Plc ranking top among the five most traded securities by volume and UBN Property Plc as the fifth most traded stock by volume traded in the week.
The week closed with Nigerian Exchange Group Plc ranking top among the five most traded securities by value and Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc stood as the fifth most traded Security by value for the week.
Advancers for the week was Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N117.16 billion closed the week at N120.00 representing a 3.29 per cent increase from the previous close of N116.17.
Central Securities and Clearing System Plc, which currently holds a market capitalization of N92.50 Billion closed the week at N18.50 representing a 2.83 per cent increase from the previous close of N 17.99.
UBN Properties Plc, which currently holds a market capitalization of N 6.63 billion closed the week at N1.18 representing a 0.85 per cent increase from the previous close of N1.17.
Decliner for the week was Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, which currently holds a market capitalization of N34.04 billion closed the week at N17.92 representing a 7.05 per cent decrease from the previous close of N19.28.
