NADCEL 2023: Nigerian Army takes medical outreach to Ibadan community

The Nigerian Army (NA) says in continuation of its activities lined up for the 2023 Army Day Celebration, it has conducted a one-day medical outreach in Oja Oba community, Ibadan.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu.

Nwachukwu said that the event witnessed large number of residents who took advantage of the free medical outreach to access tests and treatment for diverse ailments.

According to him, these include high blood pressure, diabetes, dental, heart, eye and other health challenges, as well as free medical checkup.

He stated that the Nigerian Army also distributed free drugs, eye glasses, crutches and wheel chairs to the persons with disabilities, while health talks and counseling were also conducted to sensitise the community.
