Published

on

In the month of December 29th 2016, my husband’s family called to my awareness that when my daughter clocks 5 years 6 months old, according to family traditions, they were going to circumcise her.

This caused an argument between my husband’s family and me. Later on, I called some house wives  I met in the family to discuss the situation where I figured they also went through the same problems.

I was told  it is because they have  no option  that is why they abide to family law, and those who can’t abide with the law are to leave the  family.

I disagreed with my lovely husband’s family concerning the circumcision.  As  a result of accepting the terms, my family called my husband that we are going for divorce, which he said no to.

Because of these, I had to live in an apartment on the outskirts of the city, where I am living with my children. My husband also is not living with us. I have also been receiving threatening messages from unknown persons.
