Mushin LG rejects planned protest, advocates for dialogue
The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon Emmanuel Bamgboye, has distanced the council from the planned protest in Lagos, urging dialogue with the Federal Government instead.
Bamgboye warned that protest at this crucial moment would not be helpful, citing the fresh memories of the #EndSARS aftermath. “It’s very easy to destroy than to rebuild,” he said.
Other notable leaders, including Member House of Representatives, Hon Toyin Fayinka, and Council Manager, Engr Shogo Adeshina, appealed to Lagosians to embrace peace and tranquility, desisting from violence that might destroy life and property.
Traditional rulers, artisans, religious leaders, Ndigbo leader, Arewa leaders, NSDC, DPO, Area Commander of Police, and NYCN also joined in the appeal for peace.
“We should all dialogue with the Federal Government on the way forward,” Bamgboye emphasised.
