Mushin LG moves to enact bye-laws for community development, sanity
…Executive Chair commends Legislative Arm for implementing prosperity-driven laws
In a bid to foster community prosperity and improve environmental standards, Mushin Local Government on Tuesday introduced a series of stringent bye-laws aimed at addressing key issues affecting residents.
Led by Executive Chairman Hon. Emmanuel Bamgboye, the legislative arm has championed these laws to tackle various challenges within the localities of Mushin, Lagos.
The public hearing aimed to engage residents in the law-making process and ensure a smooth implementation of the proposed bye-laws for the betterment of Mushin Local Government.
He commended the Legislative Arm for their support in enacting laws that will bring prosperity to the community.
The proposed bye-laws is set to address various issues, including road maintenance, market management, security, drainage, and environmental sanitation.
“The environment needs to be sustained, we need to make sure there is a policy or bye-law that we sustain the environment.
“Nobody can come to do it for us. We need to make enabling policies or laws so that people can comply,” Hon. Bamgboye said.
Also, the leader of the House, Hon. Olawale Ayegbayo, emphasized the importance of synergy between indigenes and non-indigenes in the markets, stating, “Whatever will be done inside the market should also be known with the Mushin LGA.”
He added that the purpose of the laws is to improve growth and development, curb insecurity, and ensure a good hygienic environment free of cholera.
In the same vein, Hon. Yinka Esho Kazeem, representing Mushin Constituency II at the State House of Assembly, reiterated that the bills are for the benefit of the people of Mushin.
“We want to imbibe the spirit of cleanliness and sanity in our environment, we need to make sure we clean up our environment, and nobody can do it for us,” Hon. Bamgboye added.
